The same gesture, a different response
After a release, does a repeated gesture produce the same surface?
In this reference model, a release removes visible displacement but preserves accumulated history. A later press overlaps earlier gestures and produces greater displacement than the memory-free control. This behavior follows directly from the chosen update rule.
This is a designed computational behavior, not an empirical discovery. Units have no physical interpretation. History increases compliance by construction; the model does not establish that memory improves artistic expression, understanding, or any real material.
The trusted reference model produces these values. They measure the model's behavior; they do not validate the author's interpretation.
